I went paddling with the club on Cedar Creek which is in Double Trouble park in S. Jersey. I don’t remember the town but I had to get off Exit 77 on the Parkway to get there. The weather was outstanding, a bit chilly, super sunny and clear as a bell. This is a really interesting river. It is stained an orangy, brown color from the tannin from the cedar trees from which it gets its name. It is a slower moving river but with lots and lots of twists and turns. In some areas you have just enough room to get your boat through. It is a good place to practice boat control. It was also interesting to paddle a river with no rocks at all! The only thing you had to watch out for was submerged cedar stumps. It was a really nice trip. We paddled for just under 11 miles.
